Trail Camera Description

The Day 6 Plotwatcher Pro Trail Camera Surveillance System has revolutionized scouting camera technology and functionality. Unlike trail cameras that trigger on short-range motion, the Day 6 Plotwatcher Pro Trail Camera captures images of an area regardless of how far the subject is from the camera. So whether the animal is 30 feet or 330 feet away, you’ll see them on the video. This greater field of view allows you to see game and their travel patterns that would have otherwise gone undetected by traditional trail cameras. With this information, you can review your HD video to scout likely hunting locations before you go into the field. With this ability, you can pattern game and develop your strategy to know where and when you want to hunt. Get closer to your game and stop guessing where to hunt! Camera Features

Plotwatcher Pro Customer Reviews

The Day 6 Plotwatcher PRO is a good product. I have a lot of infrared game cameras, but I bought this to observe large food plots. A deer has to cross within 30 feet or so of an infrared camera but the pro takes a shot of entire plot every 5 seconds so you pick up deer in the whole plot. The battery life on the pro is great. It’s been out 6 weeks on daytime only every 5 seconds and battery meter shows about 55%. I have a 32GB sd card that will hold at least 3 weeks of images. It takes about 7 minutes per day to watch the video on 5x speed looking for deer, so it takes a while to review a few weeks of data. But it sure has told me a lot of good info. Image quality is good and the software has a zoom feature.

The Day 6 Plotwatcher PRO does everything it claims to do, and does it well. I don’t need an infra-red trigger camera to tell me when a 10 point buck is out at 3 am. I need a camera to watch the places I hunt and tell me when the deer are there during daylight, dawn and dusk. The interface is really easy to use, the “GameFinder” software works surprisingly well (both Mac and PC) and the device works with very large SDHC cards. I am using a 32GB class 10 and so far so good. I could easily have 3 or 4 of these set up around the backyards that I hunt to let me know when and where I need to be.

We were disappointed with the battery life of the original plotwatcher, but loved the concept. When the plot watcher pro came out with a stated 4 month battery life we thought it was definitely worth a try. It takes awesome pics and has fantastic battery life (after 1 week the battery life was still at 86%). We are fully satisfied and excited about this product.

Keep in mind this is NOT a motion-activated camera. And, it does NOT take photos at night. It is a programmable time-lapse camera. It has an excellent range, and takes great images. We’ve captured lots of beautiful photos of deer, turkeys, and other wildlife on our property, setting it to film from dawn to about 7:00 AM, and 7:00 PM to dark, taking images at 5-second intervals, lithium batteries, and the charge lasted about five months (including several winter months). Lots of fun reviewing the time-lapse video of your plot, trail, or yard at the end of the week. Excellent camera!
